Cinderalla’s slippers: A tribute to a bride’s shoes
A nervous bride tapped her feet anxiously at the altar: the groom was late! As the congregation watched as a tiny little frown formed on her perfectly made up face, only one thought kept niggling at the back of mind: where did she get that amazing pair of shoes?
Yes, a self-confessed shoeholic like myself can hardly be blamed when faced with a beautiful powder pink pair of heels with an eye catching bow adorning the front. My browser history had a stream of shoe sites that I’d wipe out from time to time: after all who really believes in privacy online anymore.
My wishlist would include Louboutins (who hasn’t really toyed with the idea of painting a regular heel red with nail polish, c’mon you have, haven’t you!), Choos and in the more affordable ranges, Aldo’s and Charles & Keith.
The groom finally made it and the wedding was glorious. I couldn’t but help admiring the young bride’s stately walk down the aisle, a few inches taller because of those stately heels. It added to her confidence, her eyes perfectly on level with his as they smiled into each other’s eyes, a knowing smile only brand-new lovebirds share.
As they gracefully danced their first waltz, I’d like to think their fairy tale did have a happy ending, Cinderella’s slippers after all did bring a prince his princess!
I hear several irresistible brands have sales at the moment, I know I’ll be there!
Happy shoe shopping this festive season!
